Kari Lisonbee, a candidate for Utah’s 2nd Congressional District, has used her social media platform to outline the themes of her campaign and contrast herself with incumbent Blake Moore. In a series of posts on March 10 and March 11, 2026, Lisonbee focused on abortion policy, grassroots support, and recent legislative votes.
The following day, after officially entering the race for the newly drawn district, she wrote: “It’s official: Utah’s new 2nd Congressional District has a strong conservative in the race! Thank you for the outpouring of support today — I’m honored and energized! Every dollar and every volunteer makes a difference in this grassroots campaign. I can’t do this alone, but I https://t.co/rA2UrAq97p” (March 11).
Later that day, Lisonbee criticized Moore’s voting record: “After voting for every omnibus bill leadership gave him, Blake Moore draws the line at banning transgender surgeries for minors and banning men in women’s sports.” (March 11).
Utah’s congressional districts were recently redrawn as part of regular redistricting efforts following population changes recorded by the U.S. Census. The state’s political landscape remains heavily influenced by debates over abortion rights and transgender policies. Lisonbee is positioning herself as a staunch conservative alternative to Moore ahead of the upcoming election cycle.
