Rep. Paul Cutler, a member of the Utah House of Representatives, used his Twitter account on March 9, 2026 to address issues ranging from public service to children’s online safety.
In a message posted at 16:01 UTC, Cutler thanked a colleague for their service: “Thank you for your dedicated service @Clancy4Utah. I’m grateful for your work and proud of your decision to put all your time and energy in to helping some of Utah’s most vulnerable as the State Homeless Coordinator.”
Later that day, at 16:36 UTC, he addressed members of Congress regarding children’s digital privacy. He wrote: “Congress, (House Energy and Commerce Committee) Please make children’s safety and privacy a higher priority than big tech profits.”
At 20:51 UTC, Cutler commended Utah’s efforts in protecting children online by stating: “Good job Utah! Utah ties for No. 1 in protecting kids from Big Tech https://t.co/Zio0KiTbNX”
Utah has enacted several measures aimed at regulating minors’ access to social media platforms and requiring parental consent for accounts held by individuals under age 18. These initiatives are part of broader state efforts to increase online protections for children.
