Former Clearfield High School standout Jayci Finch took the mound for the Stony Brook Seawolves, who suffered a 9-2 loss to the Iona Gaels during their NCAA Division I softball game at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11.
The contest was held at Donald E. Walsh Field at Rice Oval and marked the Seawolves’ first meeting with the Gaels this season.
Pitching for Stony Brook, Finch gave up two earned runs in 0.2 innings and struck out one batter.
Stony Brook will next host the Hampton Lady Pirates on Friday, March 13, at 2 p.m. at University Field.
