Todd Weiler, a Utah state senator, shared several posts on April 4, 2026, highlighting the backgrounds and teachings of prominent leaders in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
In one post, Weiler described Elder Bednar’s approach to life and teaching. He wrote on April 4: “Elder Bednar is known for being disciplined and focused. He often teaches about:
•Using time intentionally
•Avoiding “mindless” entertainment; and
•Choosing activities that build faith, knowledge, or relationships”.
Weiler also provided biographical details about Michael John U. Teh in a tweet from the same day: “Michael John U. Teh was born in Davao City, Philippines, in 1965 and has spent much of his life bridging the cultures of Southeast Asia and the United States.
He earned a degree in business admin with a focus on management from De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde in Manila.”
A subsequent post elaborated on Teh’s church service: “He has served as a mission president in Taiwan and has held multiple leadership roles in the Philippines Area Presidency. He is known for his soft-spoken but direct teaching style. His personal life is characterized by family and a deep connection to his Filipino roots.”
Elder David A. Bednar serves as a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he is recognized for emphasizing intentional living and faith-building practices among members worldwide. Michael John U. Teh is also a general authority within the church who has contributed significantly through leadership roles across Asia.
